Fathers’ and Families’ Day

Held at the Historic League Park

Saturday, June 4, 2022 – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Presented by the Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative

Activities Included:

  • Resource tables for Fatherhood funded programs and other county resources
  • Games and activities for children by the Children’s Museum of Cleveland
  • Free book giveaways by the Cleveland Children’s Book Bank
  • Baseball fundamentals and group exercises for fathers and children
  • Demonstrations and practice on batting, base running, hitting and fielding
  • Presentation on the history of League Park and the Negro Baseball League
  • GYAA – Glenville Youth Athletic Association Baseball League rebirth
  • Lunch provided for all attendees
  • CMSD Fathers’ Clubs collaboration kick-off
  • B Buzz Baseball League – Dads’ recognition
  • Giveaways to teens from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health
  • Cleveland Guardians’ Baseball – game tickets giveaway
  • Event T-shirt giveaway from the CCFI

This event is a forum specifically created to promote healthy father-child relationships, address problems that result from father absence, and provide a fun day for family bonding. The event will recognize outstanding community dads and organizations. The event will also provide information on the Cuyahoga County Fatherhood Initiative programs that assist fathers in meeting the financial and emotional needs of their children.
