Community Outreach

The Department of Health and Human Services Communications team attends or coordinates participation in various community outreach and education events. If you have an upcoming event or organization where you would like us to attend, speak, or offer resources we have options available for request.

Kids Health Mobile

The Kids Health Mobile (KHM), a 2500 Sprinter van, is a traveling promotional vehicle designed to grab attention, promote our many programs, and provide a unique space for community members to ask questions and apply for benefits. The 18-foot van is equipped with an awning, sound system, desk, table, chairs, and free wifi.

The van is used to engage the community and offer information on all Cuyahoga Job and Services benefits programs, child support services, as well other Health and Human Services programs in Cuyahoga County.

Children and families alike love visiting the van and enjoy the promotional items, free books, Selfie-Spot, and can even take a spin on our trivia prize wheel. The KHM travels to neighborhood institutions, food banks, schools, recreations centers/parks, libraries, churches, health fairs, and summer outdoor festivals. You never know where we might appear next!

The Van can visit YOUR neighborhood event! To invite the Kids Health Mobile to your event, call (216) 987-7010 or e-mail us at Community_Outreach@jfs.ohio.gov.
