Adult Homelessness

The Office of Homeless Services works with community partners to ensure that homeless adult men and women in Cuyahoga County have immediate access to safe emergency shelter and permanent housing.

Through Street Outreach programs that respond to referrals called in by the community as well as looking for camps and persons living in places not meant for human habitation, unsheltered individuals are encouraged to access safe shelter and to begin to link with housing resources.

The Process for Applying

Homeless adults are able to self-refer for emergency shelter by walking in to Coordinated Entry located at:

Cosgrove Building
1736 Superior Ave 2nd floor

The Adult Emergency Shelter system is “low barrier” meaning that no one is turned away on the basis of behavioral health issues.
